Virtus Insurance Solutions operates as an independent, management-owned firm, directly authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. We have strong relationships with major UK Life and Health Insurers, offering a broad spectrum of tailored products and services.
Founded by Toby Davidson and George Williams, who collectively bring over 40 years of experience as business owners, investors, and entrepreneurs, our firm is uniquely equipped to understand the complexities and demands of running a business and meeting investor requirements.
Toby Davidson – Director
Toby is proud of what Virtus Insurance has to offer. He founded the company with the belief that providing his clients with accurate, timely and effective advice allows them to make better decisions. Toby has been advising private equity investors, asset managers and management teams since 2012.
Prior to this, Toby served for 9 years as a British Army Officer (Coldstream Guards). During his service, Toby experienced the full spectrum of the Army’s commitments, from leading soldiers on operational tours to Afghanistan and Iraq, to coordinating International and State ceremonial events.
Toby has a degree in Business Management from Birmingham University as well as being a graduate from The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
George Williams – Director
George began his career at KPMG where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant working with owner-managed businesses before moving into Corporate Finance, advising business owners and private equity funds on buying and selling businesses. He then moved to a lower mid-market private equity fund where he spent ten years investing in, and sitting on the boards of, a number of different companies in the financial services, business services, healthcare and education sectors.
He has also been part of a private-equity backed management team undertaking an international buy-and-build in the IT services sector and sits on the board of Lumin Group, a wealth manager with £1 billion of assets under management.
